Delete your account
You can delete your Classic Source account yourself, at any time, without asking anyone. This page explains how, and exactly what gets removed.

Delete it yourself, in the app
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.
- Open Classic Source and sign in.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
The account and its data are removed straight away. You are signed out on every device, and the email address becomes free to sign up with again later if you ever want to.
Or ask us to do it
If you cannot sign in, email info@classicsource.app from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete the account. Sending it from that address is how we confirm it is yours. We action these within 30 days, and in practice much sooner.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account, in one operation:
- Your account record: email address, name, and password credentials
- Your garage, meaning every vehicle you saved
- Every part you saved, and the notes attached to a vehicle
- Your saved searches
- Your AI conversations and any how-to guides generated for you
- Your photo lookups, including the photographs you took of parts
If you subscribed, the subscription is cancelled so you are not billed again.
What is kept, and why
We keep a record of payments where the law requires it. Businesses in the United States have to retain transaction and tax records, so a payment record can outlive the account it came from. It contains the transaction, not your garage or your searches.
Anything genuinely anonymous may also remain, for example a count of how many searches ran on a given day. Once your account is gone there is nothing in those figures that points back to you.
How long it takes
Deleting from inside the app is immediate. An emailed request is handled within 30 days at the outside. Either way, deletion is permanent: there is no undo and we cannot restore a deleted account, so export or write down anything you want to keep first.
